yeah this is an issue that should be resolved like last year. if Google can make their messaging app work with RCS even if your carrier doesn't support it, then saving should be able to do the same. Apple can. Samsung needs to drop the hammer on these carriers and make them stop restrictions with your apps. for anyone really

I've been using Google messages but even though I get the messages on my galaxy watch, it still doesn't play well. plus RCS doesn't benefit me right now since all my family use Apple and my work uses Apple so I don't get the benefits anyways. if rather use Samsung Messages for the few features that still are better

I don't want to use Google messages as I already have used it. I want to use Samsung Messages so I can use it's features and it works better with my galaxy watch.

When is Samsung Messages going to fully support RCS. This is getting ridiculous. Apple iMessage has been around forever and you guys can't get RCS GOING? if it's a carrier thing then get them going. Tell them to stop dragging their butts and catch up to modern tech. I'm with Verizon and they claim to be the best carrier... Make them prove it. Some kind of update timeline would be nice. 6 months... Sometime this year guaranteed....never....lol

But i would rather you the Samsung messages app as it works better with my active 2 watch. If the stock app isn't going to support it then make google messages the stock app and have the watch have full support for google messages. I can recieve messages on my watch and reply but I cant compose with using the stock Samsung messaging app. This is where it is all wrong.

So when is this aft1 update going to hit the US unlocked ones? Would be nice to get the fix ASAP. I shouldn't need to wait for my carrier since it's unlocked. Don't you push the updates directly. Unlocked phones should be compatible to all carriers out of the box since you don't know what carrier the buyer is going to use it on. Right? Any timeline would be nice. When Samsung says they can't speculate when updates come out, they are lying. If the update has already started rolling out, then they know there is an update pending and they know when it's coming. Even if it's an approximate date like"in the next month or two" they just like to use canned messages just like all customer service

Samsung...please make the message notification tones saved to the contact and not the message thread. That way when I delete my threads after a while it doesn't delete my custom tone for that person. If Apple can do it so should you. Even if Google supposedly took it away, I'm sure you could implement it back. Or yell at Google to bring it back. I don't know why it went away to begin with. It's a better feature then what they have now. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Hey Samsung. You advertise the new home up app for Good lock but you forgot to mention it's not available everywhere. Can you let us know when the US will get it? For something that you brag is so cool you think you would release it for everyone. I have the S20 ultra and it says it is incompatible with One UI 2.1. What gives? Please respond with an answer besides I don't know.

I've got the most recent update for UI 2.1. On my S20 ultra. I think it's not available yet in the US. You would think that Samsung would illiterate that it's only available in certain areas. They make it seem like it's everywhere. You can't even find it in the Galaxy store. But if you find a link you can install it but it says incompatible. Throw us a bone Samsung

It is not available on the S20 line using the Samsung Messages app. Only Google's Message app. But an update on a potential release would be nice. You know they know. They just act dumb and say I don't know

Yes. I would like to see Samsung messages with RCS and not have to use Google messages. Especially since I also use the Galaxy active 2 watch. I know I can still see messages from Google messages on my watch but it's a lot more work to view them and I can't compose new messages from The watch it works better with Samsung messages as default unless they can update the watch to support Google messages as a default message app so it works similar to send my messages which just fluid and simple then I would go back to Google messages cuz I do like it but I prefer Samsung messages as of right now because of my watch.

The only problem with this is that if you delete the message thread for that person, the custom notification goes away and you have to wait til they text you again, which will ring your default, and then you can setup the custom notification again. Sometimes it's nice to delete the thread to clean up the messages. This feature should be set to the contact like every other phone (Android and Apple) and not to the thread. Please fix/update this. Prior to Android 8.0 it was setup to contacts, so I don't know why Samsung got rid of it? Like they saying goes... If it ain't broke don't fix it. With so many users complaining that it went away, Samsung should have brought this feature back a long time ago .(Samsung... Listen to your customers and fix issues promptly)
