Has anyone had any resolution here? Just moved into a new home that had had an NE58F9500SS installed. The unit is a few years old now, so I understand it's probably well out of warranty, but the thing is scary unsafe. Preaching to the choir here I suppose. I have been here one month and have inadvertently turned the burners on three times, seems as if just brushing by it is enough to flip it. The detent is much too shallow to keep knobs in the centre position, next to no force is required. Samsung CS transferred me to "Executive Customer Relations" who in turn directed me to a local service provider to see if there was a fix to improve the knob design. Well, seems unlikely, especially considering vendor only repairs TVs. Call back to Samsung CS I was given the corporate Samsung blurb of the two-factor mechanism that meets international standards. Come on Samsung. I'm just calling in to do my due diligence. I was hoping Samsung would in good faith own up to an actual serious design flaw. Perhaps some sort of knob upgrade? Or exchange? Or heck, even a coupon for a new unit, but no, just a major run-around. Unless I can get support here, then next steps are a scathing report to Canadian Consumer Safety Program, and a plaster job on social media.

I have the same problem and had a fire because of it!!! (we bumped it and then left for 2 hrs) I do NOT recommend this stove! The knobs turn on SO EASY that it can be just bumped and it will turn on. Thankfully, our cabinets didn't catch but the smoke and soot went through the entire house resulting in us needing to have it deep cleaned to remove the smell and soot! Other problems I have are hot spots on the 2 large burners and a hot spot in the oven so things do not cook evenly (which I can deal with as small annoyances compared to the fire hazard). Crumbs get caught in the front edge of the stove as well as on the knobs making it harder to clean. I love the steam clean feature but not enough to make me want to repurchase this stove if I was able to redo my original purchase. Also - yes, I can take the knobs off but the stem is still exposed and bumping that also turns on your burner!!!
