Whenever I shake my samsung s20ultra it makes this sound like something is loose on the inside. This never happened on my note10plus. I usually shake my phone to tale screen shots and now when I do on the ultra it makes a sound like something is loose in the camera area

Galaxy S20I have this exact problem and found this thread thankfully. Though it was something defective with the phone. I put the camera on and put it to zoom and the noise all but disappeared. As I moved the zoom to its smallest it did sound slightly louder than zoomed in. When the phone app is off, shake rattle and roll.
Good to know this was solved with this post.

Galaxy S20I have the same issue. Freaking disappointing. I just replaced the phone, and the new one has the same issue. My old one didn't have the problem for 5 or so days, and started yesterday.

Galaxy S20This isn't a problem. It is just the lenses of the camera moving around when not being used. The lenses are stabilized with electromagnetism. When they aren't used, they will move around as there are no gears or mechanics to hold it into place.
If you watch the teardown for Jerry rig everything on YouTube, he goes into that.
Even my s10 has a noise when I shake it.

Galaxy S20Hello @dortyboy ,
As @userQQHQoe49tl stated "This isn't a problem. It is just the lenses of the camera moving around when not being used. The lenses are stabilized with electromagnetism. When they aren't used, they will move around as there are no gears or mechanics to hold it into place."
Be sure to check your resolution on your post so other know the resolution for the same question they may have.

Galaxy S20The solution should be easy, there should be a software update from samsung to activate the stabilizing mechanism whether it is electro magnetic or mechanical even when the phone is off or when the camera is not active, this way the noise will go away and will disable this feature and return to normal feature when the camera is activated.
Please note I just noted this issue and spoke to an agent on the chat and he advised that this is normal, I see this way not normal if I am paying about 2000$ for an Ultra and it rattles when the solution can be simple coding.
I hope someone in samsung is reading this and they develope a patch real soon as it is irrititating to heat a brand new phone rattle like a 2$ baby toy! just saying.
