Does every single Galaxy s20 Ultra get the crack in the back of the camera? Will a camera protector help it from doing so? I use an otterbox defender series pro case and so far, so good. I'm getting my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen.

Does anyone know if Samsung is doing anything to correct this issue. Any info would be so appreciated. Thank you.

Whenever I record indoors the camera is always so dark. I had this issue with my s10 plus phone and now I'm having it with the s20 plus phone. And the quality indoors is so muddy. This needs to be fixed. Most people buy these phones mainly for the cameras. And at a $1,000 pricetag, I feel like I'm getting jipped. Also. My wifi keeps constantly disconnecting.

I've been reading about these stories and it's shocking the glass can spontaneously break.  These consumers say they didn't drop or abuse their phone.

But I think that putting the phone on a desk or in your bag without a protective case slowly damages the glass because of the large camera bump.

I have a very nice slim case the makes the bump leveled so the phone doesn't spin around when it's naked.  Maybe the cheapest thing Samsung can do is create cases that will level this bump for consumers and make it an optional accessory.  Or in indeed there's a flaw, make the glass stronger!

Do you think there's a flaw with the S20 Ultra? Do you think smartphones with the huge camera humps on the back will be much more susceptible to damage?

Realistically, you'll never be able to get to the bottom of it through speculation, it is clear there's a problem but it will require a lab to work it out. A consumer show in the UK investigated the moisture detection inside iPhones a couple years back and concluded having the phone in the pocket whilst the body is warm could lead to tripping the moisture detection which Apple would then say the warranty is void due to water damage. I use a Spigen case which covers the rear lens bump with an even bigger bump and I pray that will keep it safe but who knows. A product is meant to withstand everyday wear and tear, that is putting it in your pocket and taking it out, if it can't do that, then we've all been missold. Samsung don't want to cough up for the repair costs and know we, the customers can't afford a lab to investigate the matter fully therefore they win by a blanket no to neglect/physical damage. Just by looking at the number of posts on here alone, not looking at the EU forums, tells us there is a design flaw.

Mine cracked spontaneously - big hole over one of the camera lenses, like all the other photos.  Not dropped, was kept in my bag along with a galaxy s10+ and an iphone 11 pro, both of which are fine.

Obviously, there is some kind of problem there which Samsung is not acknowledging.  I don't know what to do now, fixing it is very expensive when it could just break again.

I agree i have the same phone with a case for the life of the phone and the rear camera glass has a couple slight cracks and samsung will not cover it they say its cosmetic damage and now the insurance wants me to pay 249 dollars for their flawed design. I see I'm not the only one who is mad as heck for their poor rear camera glass design.  With this virus going on i can't even get a replacement because their out of stock.

My Samsung S20 Ultra was not dropped and had a protective glass cover added to the camera face and  I noticed a spiderweb of cracks.  It kept getting worse. I removed the glass protector that I added when purchased and it is undamaged. No impact marks anywhere.  I have no idea what happened here, but I am not happy.  Some of the lenses are now comprimised by the cracks. The .05 lens is completely comprimised.  I need the camera functions for work and this screws me up. BIG TIME!  I am going to have to get it fixed. I hope this does not cost me my remaining arm and leg after paying an arm and leg to begin with. <sigh>  Technology will be the death of us yet lol.....

I put a glass screen protector over my S20 Ultra too when I first got it. So far no cracks but I find myself checking it dozens a time during the day fearing the worst. I hope Samsung does some serious looking into this. There are just too many complaints with the same symptoms to ignore this. Come on Samsung!!!!

Put my brand new S20 Ultra 5G on the wireless charge pad overnight and woke to find camera lens had shattered.

Not happy Samsung, seems to be a growing issue that needs to be addressed
