Anyone else having issues with this watch? My spouse cannot use its full LTE functionality because it overheats and battery drains so fast.

Hello, I understand how frustrating it is for the watch to overheat and drain the battery. There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. Keep reading to learn more about how to increase your watch's battery life. Give these links a try for some troubleshooting steps for reduced battery life on your watch: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003232/  and https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00078033/

Whether you're using a phone, tablet, smart watch, or earbuds, all Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. Use this guide to help keep your devices at their normal operating temperature: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952/

Next step would be to verify the software is up to date and try doing a factory reset, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00084702/,. If the issue continues, the watch will need to be serviced. For service options, please reach out to us via one of the following options:

I bought 2 watch 4's lte . One for me, the other for wife. Her battery life lasted all day with power to spare. Mine did not. Had to charge at least twice in one day. Both phones have the latest firmware installed. I had an idea. Wife kept her samsung phone with her or within bluetooth range all the time. I did not. I experimented and kept my phone with me the same as wife with wifi and bluetooth on. My problem solved! My battery life lasted all day with more than 50% battery power left at bed time. Apparently watch uses less power when in proximity and mated with phone

The phone uses Bluetooth when phone is close, then switches to Wi-Fi when phone is far. Some users get carrier's watch data plan and then watch connects to their tower. You can control what watch connects to when not connected to a phone via Bluetooth.
