So, I recently got a Galaxy A54 5G, and ever since the first day I got my phone, I've updated my phone 3 times.

I only ever got it to temporarily stop, because I used Safe Mode to update my phone. But to this day, I keep on getting a notification telling me to update to OneUI 5.1, and no matter how many times I install the update, my phone will keep on acting like it never got the update.

So.... Any suggestions on how to force the update onto my phone to finally stop it??

Update: I thought the update stuck, but no, we're back to the constant "update you phone" message...

Have you already tried factory resetting the phone? Which carrier do you have?

T-Mobile is my carrier.

Also, I kinda dread factory resetting my phone. As I had swapped from the S10 (I had in November of last year, not learning it would stop receiving support), and deleted most stuff from the S10 after the SmartSwitch stuff.

So, I'm unsure if I could get most of my stuff and data back after the factory reset.

As long as you have Cloud services enabled, or the data saved to an alternate location, you won't lose anything. Make sure everything you want is backed up prior to attempting the factory reset.

More than likely you will you get your stuff back as long as you got everything backup up to your Google account and sd card like photos and music. Just make sure that you take your sd card out of your phone before factory resetting your phone

What does it show under settings /software update? Please attach a screenshot, as I've attached, if possible.SmartSelect_20230916_090606_Settings_1000013241_1694869566.jpg

It looks like the last update was in August. So when you select "download" in the second photo, what happens? Does it say it was updated successfully?

I very recently was having the exact same issue and this is what I did to solve it...In settings, then into the software update, there's an option to download updates automatically via wi-fi. I turned that off, then went through the update again, and the update finally worked. I don't know if what I did is the fix for this issue or if it was simply a fluke, but it fixed the issue for me. I hope this helps.
