I have a brand new 75" Q80A 4K TV which will not accept one of my inputs.
I have an HDMI to DVB-T passthrough modulator between my Sky HD+ box and my TV. It creates a digital TV signal to distribute Sky around the property. It worked fine with my previous TV (a Panasonic) and also works with an older, small Samsung I have.
But with the Q80A, the TV can see it, but says that the device is not switched on. This is the case with any of the four HDMI ports. No combination of settings makes a difference.
I've even tried looking in the "secret" menu but can't see any options there.
How do I get The Q80A to recognise the modulator please?
If it helps, the modulator is a Technomate TM-RF HD IR and the Sky box is only operating at 1080i, so I'm certain there's no downscaling/upscaling issues going on.
Good afternoon, I understand that having connection issues can be frustrating. As this forum is for support of US products and customers, I am unsure of how much support you can get here. Since you are in the UK, it is recommended for you to seek a support team for your area. You can do so by using this link: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support, or contact your regional Samsung Community here: https://eu.community.samsung.com/?category.id=uk.
