Open to all users, the One UI Beta Program is an opportunity to try One UI features before their official release.
Its purpose is to create a better, more reliable operating system and user experience (UX) for Samsung devices, based on user feedback.
As a Beta program join, you can preview new features and UX for the latest Android operating system, and submit feedback about its performance, stability and usability.
Beta Program : This means "Beta Program Service". On other meaning, it means the whole beta test that own company provide. If you agree a Beta terms and condition, you become a status of joined Beta program.
Beta Test : This means a Beta of each model unit, if you are in a status of joined Beta program, you can experience a Beta software with joining a Beta test freely.
How to join in the Beta test for each model/app is as below.
On the Beta Program Home, select and tap the Beta you want to join in (Beta test which is possible to join is displayed "Open") ※ If there isn't an ongoing beta test, Nothing show in the list
Read the precautions of each model Beta, and tap the join button.
If joining has been made, the Beta's status will be changed to "Joined".
After you tap the joined Beta test, you can move to detail page which show the menu, Beta community, Notice, etc.
In the detail page, you can register the feedback & suggestion, and share your opinions with other customer on the Beta community.
When you have join the Beta test, you can help to improve the Galaxy software stability by reporting issues you encounter while using the beta software.
The found defects is after selecting the participated beta in Beta Program Home, you can register through "sending error" menu of detail page.
Note: For your valuable errors to be used effectively, send the error within 3 minutes of finding the error and do not kill the task of the Samsung Members app until you receive an notification that the error has been sent (about 5 minutes).
You can experience the new UX through Beta Software and contribute to improve the Galaxy user experience through the community, such as by suggestion.
To provide UX or UI-related feedback, such as usability or feature suggestions, select "Beta Community > Suggestions".
All of the suggestions submitted are being reviewed and will be adopted in consideration of various users and countries, so please make a lot of excellent suggestions.
After leaving the Beta test, if you hope to go back to previous official version you can rollback(downgrade) through Smart Switch.
※ Note
If you roll back, your device will be initialized (factory reset). Please back up all data you need before proceeding.
Only phone/tablet devices are supported to roll back through Smart Switch, and watch device must be rolled back by visiting the service center.
Please refer to the rollback (downgrade) method from Beta version (Z version) to the previous official version
1. Firstly, install Smart Switch PC version on your PC.
2. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable, and then tap "Allow" on your phone.
3. Next, navigate to and open Smart Switch on your computer, and then click "Downgrade". (If it is a normal version, you can see the "Update" button, and if Beta version, you can see the "Downgrade" button.)
4. Then, software downgrading is in progress.
5. After finishing the Smart Switch Rollback(downgrade) operation, the phone reboots, and you can use the previous OS official version again.
Unexpected behavior in the Beta software can cause data loss. Before installing the Beta software, it is highly recommended to back up your data to your computer with Smart Switch PC version.
After installing Smart Switch, you'll need to back up content from your old device and save it on your Windows PC or Mac.
Before you proceed with creating and saving a backup file, make sure your PC has enough storage space for the size of the backup file.
※ Note: Some content types, such as text messages, can be backed up and transferred to a new phone using a Mac or Windows PC, but those messages cannot be read on the PC.
1. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable, and then tap Allow on your phone.
2. Next, navigate to and open Smart Switch on your computer, and then click Backup.
3. A list of different data categories (Call and contacts, messages, apps, etc.) you can back up will display.
4. "Select all" is the default option, but you can deselect some items if you'd like. Clicking on a category will allow to select specific items in that category.
5. Select Backup when you are ready.
6. Your computer will start backing up your data, which may take several minutes.
7. When it's done, a screen will appear informing you it's complete. Select OK.
Depending on the type of Beta test, you can install the latest beta version.

How to withdraw from beta test of each model and app is as follows.
Move to the detail page of the participated Beta test
If you push the menu which is on right upper side of detail page, it's possible to do a leaving.
When submitting the survey, the canceling process is completed. ※ After canceling participation, if you use continuously a Beta software, you can't receive all update (included official version) during remained Beta period.
After canceling, you can rejoin the Beta at any time. you can go back official version via a rollback process. (You can see to the explanation about a rollback at "Beta tips" of Beta home)
If you see 'Beta ended' message, the Beta Program is finished, and you can download the official version.
After completion of Beta test,
We are not going to release any new Beta software version.
We are no longer going to provide any official reply to your opinion.
Beta feedback usage will be stopped.
It's not accessible the menu of detail page including Beta community.
If you have any improvement proposal or there is an issue that needs to be resolved after the official software update, you can still submit your comment using the Samsung Members application.
Although the Beta has ended, if you don't update to the official version, you won't be able to receive any future updates, including all official versions. You must update to the official version.
1. What does it cost to participate in the One UI Beta Program?
There is no cost for participating in the One UI Beta Program. However, you are responsible for expenses related to using a data network connection to download the Beta software or upload error logs. Connecting to Wi-Fi before downloading Beta software is highly recommended.
2. Is there any compensation for One UI Beta Program participation?
The One UI Beta Program is an opt-in, voluntary program. Your reward for participation is improved software for Samsung devices based on your feedback.
3. Under what conditions can I use the Beta software?
To participate in the One UI Beta Program and join each Beta test, you agree to use the Beta software only for personal, non-commercial purposes, and to abide by theOne UI Beta Program terms and conditions.
4. If an error occurs while installing the Beta software, what do I do?
If an error occurs during Beta software installation and you can no longer use your device, find assistance with resetting the device by visitingSamsung Service Centeror calling 1-800-726-7864 to locate the nearest Service Center.
5. I needed to reset my device. Can I reinstall the Beta software?
Yes. You can update the software to the latest official version or reset it in aService Center. As long as you are enrolled in each Beta test, you can re-install the beta software by running a software update on the device. To run the update, on your device, select "Beta Program Home screen > Select Beta test that you joined > Software update menu" or "Settings > Software update > Download and install".
Note:This option is only available if you have not opted out or canceled your participation in each Beta test.
6. When will the official release version be available?
It is not possible to provide a specific date for publishing the release version. The release version will be provided as soon as Beta feedback is analyzed and improvements are implemented. Until then, you can continue to use the Beta software version and update your device to the official release version once it is made available.
