Dude, my 5G is all over the place. Sometimes it drops to Edge or 2G, or even no signal, then back to 5G. It's not my network, and it's worse when I'm out and about. I have Wi-Fi at home, so it's not as bad. I know it's a beta, but this basic stuff shouldn't be broken. Plus, I'm getting other bugs which is ok t9 deal with .but calling and internet is the most important stuff. This whole UI 8 beta is not good. I'm thinking of switching to a Pixel. That guy at Best Buy actually stopped me from buying a Pixel and suggested this phone instead.

I believe a lot of people are experiencing the same issue with reception and signal quality as you. However, I have to say it is a little extreme to want to switch phone brands because of a beta that you knew going into might have technical problems that may not be limited to what you are having problems with.

People have got to stop joining beta programs, for anything, in hopes of it just being the next update early. Especially when it is on a device that they can't afford to not have working properly for any amount of time.

That being said, I sure hope they fix this particular issue before it releases as the final build for the public. That will be a mess for samsung to have to deal with.

Yes, the majority of people who join betas are not really about testing them as much as they want the next shiny thing. Some leave out of frustration when things go awry or they have no patience for looks and wants. This is nearly a reflex now for many as when the beta is done and the UI 8.0 is finally released, users will be clamoring on when 9.0 will be out as they express "I can't wait for the next UI**...". The addiction to tech and their devices is unreal anymore.

we wouldn't have to try betas and or have to get a pixel .if Samsung gets off his Butt and does timely updates . i buy my phone full price without mobile carrier . i expect timely quality updates from a very large company. I also contribute to lots of bug reports . that's the whole point of betas . basic phone call making shouldn't be a problem. stop defending samsung , they have been turtles in so many corners. dont get me started on their fridge and their ice makers . the quality of builds and updates are poor .

When you having problems with your signal, go to your settings. Go to Sim manager and turn ur connection off, then on. That's going to fix your problem

Try resetting your mobile connection. Go to settings/general management/reset/reset mobile network settings then tap the reset settings button that and see if that helps. I myself have not had any issue with my mobile anywhere while having been on the beta. You should submit this in the beta feedback section in the Members app when after opening the beta part and submit this issue. The more the devs see, the more they will take notice that this is not an issue among a few.
