A problem for a long time

This has been an issue for a while with Samsung. 

Not specific to the Beta. 

Samsung Keyboard is actually really good EXCEPT the microphone/voice input is in the bottom bar on the left.

That's great, if you're left handed and DONT USE gesture navigation. 

I use gestures without a navbar. How are we supposed to use voice input? Put the **bleep** voice input BACK INTO Keyboard TOP ROW. 

I can't be the only one with this issue. Might as well bring it to Samsungs attention to fix.

And adding the bar only when the keyboard is visible is no good either. It shifts the entire keyboard too high

What about moving the microphone to the right side?

That doesn't solve that I now have a navbar sized space below the keyboard. Whole purpose of gesture is not to have that.

Plus my brain is trained where the keyboard is minus the navbar

I use swiftkey or Gboard and they both are great alternatives to the stock keyboard

I've always tried to use the Samsung Keyboard because it has some really nice features that Gboard and Swiftkey don't have. BUT Samsung Keyboard autocorrect and text prediction is abysmal. I've tried training that keyboard for months and it's consistently pretty bad. One if the main annoyances for me is that it doesn't capitalize a singular "I" very often. It's like a 1 in 4 chance that it actually works.

I always go back to Gboard. Though I was impressed with Futo's latest keyboard, but it doesn't have integrated gif functionality like other keyboards. It does try to be an "offline" keyboard so that makes sense, but if you send a lot of gifs, switching to a gif keyboard or app is inconvenient.

I've found the opposite. Once it learns your typing it's really accurate. Especially swipe. Google just randomly changes words to something completely different despite being spelled correctly

You can also use the bixby power button as well so you dont need the microphone button

My power button is a power button and the double press has another purpose.

Repurposing a button when a software change was made to something abysmally dumb isn't a solution. They need to just add the button back to the main bar.
