Everysingle time I open my phone about 60% of the times accidently touch protection turns on. It is happening in low and high light environments and is starting to get really anoying. Im not sure if it is a software glitch or something else, but im just writing this to inform if it actually is a glitch.
@1way2level If using a screen protector, it could be too thick, misaligned or there is small hard to notice objects interfering with the proximity sensor. Or the phone case may be coming too close to the sensor as well. Clean the screen protector well, then hold it to the light reflecting the light directly over the sensor area and see if some minor obstruction, screen distortion etc shows up. If not, remove the phone case to see how that works.
