Alarm went off by itself

I set an alarm yesterday evening for the morning however the alarm didn't work.

As I looked at the phone in the morning it asked for the password and then it said "phone is starting".

I looked at the alarms and the one I set was not there.

sounds like your phone did an automatic restart overnight. and it's possible you didn't "save" the alarm you set yesterday. again...possible, not probable

Try using Samsung clock and alarms instead of Google. Set a backup for really important wake ups. Set a future text message sent to yourself. Have a real alarm clock set 5 minutes after your phone alarm. If the phone wakes you, just turn off the real alarm clock.

I used the default s
Samsung clock to set the alarm. I also saw that it was set but the phone restarted I think at night and somehow the alarm didn't ring.

Same thing happened to me this morning except my alarm was still there. Phone restarted in the middle of the night.
