Animations on 60Hz seem smooth but a bit choppy while animations on 120Hz are super smooth. The difference is very noticeable when I open and close Google search widget.

I know 60Hz is not as smooth as 120Hz, but the animations on One UI 4.1 with 60Hz were smoother than on One UI 5 beta. I guess Samsung still needs to optimize animations for 60Hz.

Edit:
120Hz means adaptive refresh rate
60Hz means standard refresh rate

I noticed this too. Could be a bug so I would submit an error report

Yes. I have a Pixel 6a, which only has a 60hz display, and the animations are smooth as butter, while my S22, set at 60hz, the animations are choppy and laggy as heck. Samsung needs to optimize these animations for both display settings. Some of us like having 60hz set for the extra battery life.
