Battery Life Estimate

Battery life is good but not 4 days 19 hours good. Actual battery life even with heavy usage, 8 hours SOT, texting, calling, videos, etc. is about a day (24 hours or so). 

Everyone's usage and battery life will vary and I am pleased with mine. 

It is the battery estimate that is so completely random, anywhere from 1 day (most true to actual), 2 days, 20 hours, 16 hours, and so forth after a full charge. 

4 days and 19 hours really is laughable. 

All this to say, Samsung really needs to get a handle on the battery life estimate as it is all over the place. 

In 20 minutes of usage SOT and 9 minutes of screen off time the phone used 1% from 100% to 99% and the estimate is 3 days 1 hour. 

Also, the battery report states 2% of usage.

Off topic but I haven't seen Nova Launcher in a minute. Just preference or do you use for something the stock launcher can't do yet?

I thought someone might pick up on Nova Launcher in my battery stats. Nova was purchased by another company but the core functionality not only remains, but has been improved upon over the last year or so.
Short answer to your question, Samsung's OneUI also continues to improve and expand functionality.

Nova is still leaps ahead though and in too many ways to list.
It is really excellent. Yes, it costs me a tiny bit of battery but is very self contained for a third party launcher. The benefits are worth it to me.
That said, it does appear that the new owners have a stake in monetizing the launcher beyond a one time purchase. This would also mean further hooks into privacy. At that point I would probably move back to MS Launcher which is also more advanced than OneUI but still very solid.
