Majorly disappointed that after 5 weeks of beta 3 and to now getting beta four being released, that no camera software upgrade was built into the firmware. Unless I have totally missed it as I have had my S25U since Jan 30, of last year, there has been no remotely substantial camera software update. My whole point to the purchase of this device, even knowing the camera hardware was a tiny upgrade from the S24U model, I thought the power of the SD 8 Elite and these LLM models would make photo taking far better, but it is what it is! It is literally why I skipped two model iterations after the S22U disappointment from the S21U, going to the S25U after three years.

If you want heavily edited AI photos maybe try Pixel.

That misses the point. I already have a heavily integrated LLM device with a far more powerful processing unit than the PIxel's top best. If I wanted a Pixel 10 Pro XL, I would have bought it when I could have had the it for $750 because as a YouTube Premium user I get that deal offer every year. This about current device marketed for it "Ultra" specs meaning the best in camera suites too, that never has been updated its camera software to take better still shots. Samsung already heavily LLM processes their images, they need to be better with updating the software too.

The pixel line is constantly touted as the best camera phone because of googles post processing.

Ultra/pro/max are just marketing terms

I'm sure eventually Samsung will lean heavily into AI for photography but I'm personally glad they aren't going hard on the post processing. I prefer real photos.

I do wish the ultra did better with low light photos and had a bigger sensor for the selfie camera.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback and perspective as a long-time Ultra user.

We understand the expectation that continued software updates โ€” especially in a beta program โ€” would bring noticeable improvements across key experiences, including the camera.

During beta cycles, individual updates may address a range of items such as stability, interaction behavior, and system-level refinements, and not all improvements are always visible or delivered in every build. Some changes are also introduced incrementally across releases.

Feedback like yours is important and is shared with the relevant teams as part of ongoing evaluation of the camera experience on Ultra devices.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide thoughtful input and for your continued participation in the Beta Program.

Regards,

One UI Beta Team

Thanks for taking the time to really address his grievance and not in just some "canned message." Tom has been a great contributor to the program. Looking forward to seeing what the team can "cook up." Have a great day

You got a product, hoping it was something that it isn't. That's on you.

Do your research, that's on you.

Running on hopes and dreams of a beta adding features it never claimed it would.

Take RAW photos and feed it through an Al tool.

Now you Pixel photos. Just like the phone you should have

bought.
