The current beta has been running very smoothly on my Fold 6. I have only found two minor inconveniences that were both easily resolved:

1. Using my phone as a key for my Rivian R1T: for some reason, my vehicle no longer trusted my phone as a key. It was simple to re-pair my Fold after the upgrade, but I've never needed to do this in the past. Just wanted to share the feedback.

2. With the cover screen open using gesture navigation, you have to pull up further to go to the home screen. If I pull up as far as I always have using OneUI 6 to go to the launcher, it instead presents a dock with recent apps (similar to how One UI 6 did when you touch and hold to hide/show the dock at the bottom. I quickly got used to this new behavior, but it would be nice to have an option to slightly slide up and go home like with One UI 6 instead of displaying the dock. I know you can slide up further and go home without showing the dock, but muscle memory still causes me to pause because it doesn't do what I expected.

Thanks and amazing job! The UI feels more smooth and polished. I love the separated quick panel/notifications!

Hello,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and detailed feedback!

We’re glad to hear that the Beta is running smoothly on your Fold 6 and that you’re enjoying the refined UI and the new quick panel/notification separation!

Regarding your points:

1. Phone-as-Key for Rivian – Thanks for noting this! While re-pairing resolved it, it’s helpful for us to understand real-world edge cases like this, especially for users who rely on digital keys. We'll pass this along to ensure compatibility remains seamless after major updates.

2. Gesture Navigation Behavior – We truly appreciate your insight here. The updated gesture behavior is designed to enhance multitasking, but we understand how muscle memory from One UI 6 might cause a slight adjustment period. We’ve forwarded this suggestion about gesture sensitivity/customization for the cover screen to the development team as it could help refine the user experience even more.

Thanks again for your kind words and continued participation in the Beta! Feedback like yours helps shape the future of One UI.

Best regards,
One UI Beta Team
