Bluetooth bug

I've got a 2016 Ford Focus with a factory Bluetooth radio, using Ford's Sync Gen 1. Everyone in our family has an S25 Ultra phone, and three of us have paired them to the car for music.

Here's the problem: when we're all in the car and trying to pick a device to switch to, we see three identical devices: SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 ULTRA. Even though we've all renamed our devices in the settings. We're all running the beta UI 8.5. If I go into settings, then apps, then show system apps, and clear the cache and files for BLUETOOTH AGENT, it will show our individual phone names when each is re-paired to the radio.

But after a few days, they go back to GALAXY S25 ULTRA. I'm not sure what triggers this? Restarting the phone? Updates? Is it random?

Any ideas? I submitted a ticket ages ago and can't see the answer and no fix has been done

I hope more people report this, I reported it at the beginning of the beta and it has yet to be fixed

Well I dont know when the Bluetooth info is being compromised, only when I'm affected.

I found that if I set the bluetooth avrcp version to 1.4 on the s25 in beta the device name was sent to the car. This also fixed some other issues I had with bluetooth.

My bluetooth has been malfunctioning ever since the IU8 update. They pushed a software update that not only forces you into it but also adds more bugs and  spyware. I don’t want to wait a whole month for a fix. I rely on my phone for music while working out, so I need a solution this week. Should I consider switching to Apple? This is a major issue that’s affecting so many people, and they haven't done anything to address it

My bluetooth device name is no longer unique on my car's either. It just says galaxy s25. My wife is not in the beta we see the unique name for her s25.
