Communication Goes A Long Ways!

Dear, Samsung, 

Considering the numerous posts, including my own, expressing frustration about not receiving the beta 4 update, only to discover it's limited to carrier-locked phones, I can't help but think that better communication from Samsung could have avoided all this confusion and disappointment.

The brief mention in the update notes is inadequate for conveying the strategy behind excluding unlocked phones from such a long-awaited update.

A general timeline for the releases, accompanied by follow-ups in case of delays or changes in course, would go a long way in alleviating confusion and disappointment.

It's not limited only to the carrier they are currently working on finishing the beta 4 update for unlocked.  Itā€™s just T-Mobiles version was completed first and they released it while finishing the unlocked version

Not only that, but people forget that this is a beta program. I haven't posted much on here since it's mostly people complaining about the updates. This beta has been the most stable we have ever gotten from Samsung, I'm not worried about the delays.

Its really not that serious.

We have a reason to complaining. Now we can't use google wallet anymore at metro, coffee shop, gas station etc etc. Security patch is important for us too. What if you get blackmail by someone? You love to be that victim huh.

I am having the same issue! Ive been unable to use my tap to pay all day and completely unable to purchase anything! And im out of town working so im very frustrated....that along with the constant battery drain on and even slower charging on my s24 ultra is completely driving me insane. Such a good battery being hammered and dying so fast but still nothing sent out to fix these problems. Im honestly losing my patience at this point and until this 3rd update ive been happy with all the changes and no issues. But this 3rd update is worse than the first 2 by far. I hope they resolve this ASAP

That's a terrible example to give me. This is a beta program. When you first sign up, there are conditions that state that this is unofficial software that can cause issues with normal use and that you should use at your own risk. This also isn't the first beta that Samsung has done, or any company for that matter. Not only is there history that can give insight into how disruptive beta programs can be, but you were literally warned before using this software when you had to click through several agreements.

Two things: you either did not read and are complaining, or you sideloaded this update unofficially, which was done at your own risk anyway.

In either situation, I'm not siding with the person who can't understand the full ramifications of their own decisions and decides to blame others for their mistakes.

Once again. It is a beta program. This is a BETA program. Not only that but there are terms that you agree to when signing up.

We have had an unprecedented amount of people join and add suggestions and reports for bugs. Every time someone makes a comment, that slows down the progress - if a company wants to do good by the customers. Everyone here doesn't seem to realize that a timeline and communication like that would fluctuate drastically depending on the feedback or fixes that need to be made - regardless of the intended feature set.

As the mod said earlier to a post, be patient. If there is a lack of communication, there is also a reason. Knowing when not to speak is a very useful skill to learn.

Those complaining about Google Wallet are too funny. This happens on every beta. Google won't update the play store for the Google Wallet support until the full release of the update. I use Samsung Wallet and it seems to be working just fine. My battery does not drain any faster and the phone charges just fine. Really, this has been the best beta I have been on.

Google Wallet & Security Updates: As with previous beta programs, Google Wallet functionality is temporarily restricted because Google does not certify new betas until the final release. This is a known behavior with Beta software, and Samsung Wallet remains an alternative in the meantime. Security patches will be incorporated into the final stable release.

Battery Drain & Performance Issues: Some users are experiencing battery drain and slower charging, while others find this beta to be one of the most stable yet. If you are facing significant issues, please submit a Bug Report through the Samsung Members app to help the team investigate further.
