Drop down notification panel

I really dislike how the screen goes completely dark when pulling down the notification panel. Hopefully it does not stay this way.

Mine doesn't do that...You sure you're not experiencing a bug?

Hmm... Could be it. This is what it looks like when swiping down.

Yeah mine does that too.

It only does that too for me in apps that are dark (like Samsung Members). It doesn't do that on the home screen, for example.

So with dark mode is doing dark and with normal mode doing white.

Honestly, I don't mind that as the contrast makes it far easier to see or read. The screen comes back after putting away the pull down function.

Perhaps there will be a setting to maintain one's background during the pull down use as a choice.

Try this;

Settings->Accessibility -> visibility enhancements-> turn off 'reduce transparency and blur"

This should make the background of the notification tray blurry (out of focus) and not black
