Turned off NFC and currently at 11hrs since last charge, battery at 82%. Tested a bunch of options and this seemed to be the culprit for the excessive battery drain since installing the beta version for the watch 4.

Curios to see if you experience the same results. It was between NFC and GPS being the last of my testing, GPS seemed to be fine to leave on

Thank you for that find! I am glad to hear turning off NFC helped improve your Watch 4's battery life significantly. In addition to this, there are other things you can do to increase performance on the battery, like turning off other potentially unused functions and keeping your software up to date. Helpful information, steps, and tips can be found in this guide: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003232/

I prefer NFC to stay on, but the beta caused a drain so bad that I barely made it half a day. So this was the only thing I could find that was causing the unusual drain. That's what beta testing is all about.
