This may be expected already since this is in fact beta but just wanted to put it out there, Google Pay app is functioning except for NFC payments portion, this is the message when you try to activate payments.

During beta program, the software is not yet certified by Google, and therefore Google Pay and other secure services may not work. We apologize for the inconvenience and will post a notice once it becomes certified by Google. You may try again at that time.

Same here, for reference. This is a particularly big ticket issue for me but I understand and am standing by patiently.
