Google messages custom background

Man, I'm mad that i don't have the option to customize the background in messages. I'm in all of the Google betas, but I can only change the color still. 😠 if it's something I need to do in the settings or what, but i just can't figure it out. 🤷‍♂️

It's still in beta and Google always pushes beta first into the pixels before pushing it out in beta for everyone else. Every flag is set server sider

It hasn't been pushed out to Pixels yet, only Samsung phones. You can probably guess why!

Quite a few pixel users have it. Google has always been slow to roll out stuff. They always use server side flags for every thing.

I have the background option on messages and it works well. I have noticed a slight delay before it switches over to the selected background.

I'm on the beta and I have it atm. It will be available for everyone before you know it
