Title is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but gets at something I think some of us (that is, people who care enough about One UI to run beta software and post about it on a forum) are feeling.
One UI 7 is quite polished. When I use my family members' devices, which are still on 6.1, I am instantly reminded what a huge leap forward 7.0 is, both in appearance and performance.
But it's boring. Which is great! Most users want a straightforward device that is fast, stable, reliable, and has a generally appealing (if a bit generic) aesthetic. One UI 7 accomplishes all of that.
I am hoping Samsung will be kind enough to give us, the minority of users, our frequently requested features in the form of Good Lock Modules.
Maybe I'm hoping against hope. But I'm still hoping.
That is the single most important thing i wish we had. I really wish samsung would update there themes so that they can accomplish the same thing hex does OR make it easier for people to use hex because all it takes is an update for my theme to be gone. Samsung doesnt know hex and goodlock 2 of the main reasons i even like samsung phones because of the customization and personalization abilities.
Samsung, cater to a minority of users? Samsung won't even cater to the MAJORITY of users! They removed the headphone jack. Then the microSD slot. Now Bluetooth functions from the S Pen. If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath for Samsung to give users anything except what they want to give users... all while charging a premium.
To keep this on-topic, the new One UI 7 Good Lock 3.0 is rolling out and I hope it has the modules you want.
I am a fairly recent convert to the Samsung ecosystem. There are things I really, REALLY like... but I do have to admit, the seeming inability to provide a visually consistent and cohesive software experience (something that's really important to me after a decade of using iOS devices) really has me considering alternatives like Nothing and Pixel in my next upgrade cycle.
Again, hoping against hope that Good Lock allows me to mitigate some of these visual inconsistencies.
