Found a update for home up on apk mirror that fixes the widget issues when using DIY. Latest update is 17.0.00.38 from Sept 3. Passing this on for those effected or annoyed.

Thank you! I saw 17.0.00.40 was released yesterday (the 5th) so I installed that. Fixed the widget issue I was having with Samsung Calendar font being really small.
