This new toggle called motion assist is for those that suffer from motion sickness. It's a server side switch from Google. Personally I don't need it. It's there for those that do.

When you go to edit and add a control, if it is not there yet, it's a server side switch from Google.

Both, I've seen people on X who don't have Google Beta services. It's new to and617. My Pixel is running Beta also, not there yet.
I am in Beta everything!

JK. Yeah I'm in all of the available betas as well and haven't gotten it yet.
