No diagonal swipe

That feature doesnt work to bring up any assistance. 

Also not able to assign another app to (hold) Homebutton is also a disappointment.Inhave no need to use google lens . It makes more sense to bring any assistance that way instead use the diagonal swipe which of course does t work .

The diagonal swipe was removed shortly after circle to search was implemented in Oneui7.
I currently have Google assistant assigned to the power button (side key) and turned off circle to search

If you are using navigation buttons instead of the drawer you could hold the home button and bring up the assistant
When circle to search was first announced last year that took over the home button hold so swiping diagonally from the bottom corner would bring up the assistant

This was removed shortly after and now you hold the side key to trigger the assistant and hold the home button to trigger circle to search
