I had to download zip file from xda and did update via recovery as I couldn't register as my phone is originally a 986u verizon but now it's 986u1 still on Verizon. If you need help trying the same I can help

Copy and paste this in browser, download it (it should be 2.7GB), once finished goto files and long press it, change the name to update.zip it'll ask change extension. YES. Then long press again move to sd card. Reboot into recovery mode by powering off then hold volume up and power button until it splash screen let go of power button while keeping volume button pressed until you're in recovery, scroll down to update via SD card and then select the update.zip hit yes then it'll start. It'll take about 10 min or so to patch everything it'll auto reboot and enjoy. *This is for the unlocked 986U1 models* note ultra 5g.

No just does over the air update I also forgot this is over the air update from latest update uj7 to beta. Let me know how you make out remember it takes a while to patch files so let it finish it'll reboot itself.

On xda they said this method will do a factory reset. I just wish the banner would show up in the app.

If you flash this in recovery, are you auto signed up for the beta?

Do exactly like I said, and no, it does not wipe as it's a FOTO over the air file. Will NOT wipe data, and no, I'm not in beta as it doesn't let me due to model and imei number
