So it appears the official one UI 5.0 for watches is now rolling out.

Question for Developers:  DO WE HAVE TO MANUALLY UNINSTALL BETA APPS AS SHOWN IN THE SCREENSHOT BELOW?

When installing the beta apps There is a Header (shown below) that says "when you have finish testing you can delete the test app?

If you look at item #12 in the blurb to join the beta, it seems to convey the impression that the transition to the stable release version of Wear OS4 will be a transparent progression. You can contrast this to the discussion of "withdrawal" from the beta program wherein you would be stuck with the installed beta version until the stable release version is actually released. They also state that reversion to the existing software (Wear OS3.5) is not supported and if you choose that path you should contact a service center and delete the beta Wear app and plugin and install stable versions from the Play Store. 

Item #12 tells/implies to me that when the stable release of Wear OS4 is actually released the path to the stable release will be/is baked into the final beta release, and there will be an orderly transition to the stable release.

Recently, a few of us in this forum have been trying to estimate user participation in the One UI5 Watch Beta program and we came up with ~350 - 500 participants. I initially estimated ~1000.  A few participants have had difficulty with implementing the beta, but it appears not a lot of users. It is likely that most people who have had trouble may have missed a step or they may have had an electrical burp while installing the beta. Whatever the cause Samsung does not want to be dealing with ~350 - 500 enthusiastic users who followed the beta instructions carefully yet would be presented with manually removing components, and their associated pitfalls. 

I think that Samsung is a responsible company and will provide a smooth transition process to the stable version which will include removal/update of the beta components to the stable release versions. 

Samsung would own any problems they cause to users who were helping them test their software updates, particularly after the GW4 "Bricking Event of 2022".

In contrast, I think it will go much better.
