This is normal behavior when the screen is on. Turn off auto rotate if its an issue for you. With auto rotate off and in portrait mode, turning device landscape, there will be an icon in lower right corner or upper right corner that pops up in the navigate bar allowing you to change to landscape mode without pulling down the notification menu.

Note: To ensure relevant log information is included in the error report, submit the report within 3 minutes of encountering the bug or error, and do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes.
