@userDp4vVn8fjd But that would require Google allowing Samsung to edit the UI and possibly settings in GM and I do not see Google allowing that. I get people wanting to have such a far higher degree of customizing the Messages app. So, perhaps it may happen in the future. For now though, people will be using a functionally superior app to communicate in text, rich content  without worrying if Samsung is going to keep updating their version that carriers don't want to have to make functional for two messaging apps. In the end, the carriers decide which and how many apps can be used in SMS/MMS and RCS chats, regardless of Samsung wants.

There is slight tweaks to Samsungs version of Google messages: Text on Galaxy devices, and the one-handed operation where you can move the top recipient to the middle of the home screen.

If customization is what you want, Textra is for you. Unfortunately that means giving up RCS.

I used to love using textra, but it used to send weird strings of random symbols to my friends, and then it also used to send my messages out of order as well. It was super weird, so I had to stop using it. But I used to love it. Great customizations.

I hope that they start working with google to add more customization and themes to their messaging app!!!🙏🙏🙏

I agree I would love to see more colors in different options to make the different rooms or text threads I mean different colors besides the like nine basic ones that are on Google messages I'm thinking about going to a different provider than Google messages because I'm getting tired of their boringness and even though they have added a few features there's better ones out there for free. I've used several over the past several years
