Mine recently decided to say that my tap to pay does not work with Google since my phone is rooted.

Common when in beta. Surprised it worked at all this beta, but being in the beta usually kills Google pay (and usually listed in the sign up page)

I've seen people with this issue every beta I've been in

I did a post about it. Mine stopped working during beta 3. when I updated the Google Wallet from Play store. Then came beta 4, and it started working flawlessly without me doing anything. Tap to pay is even reading pay terminals faster now.

Most mobile payment and banking apps will not work on firmware that is not the signed, official firmware for security reasons. This has been, in fact, the first beta test I've ever been able to use Google Wallet. I was ready to use my Galaxy Watch Ultra as the payment device (and still do), but your ability to use it will greatly depend on the carrier branding and region.

Hi everyone,

We understand the frustration with Google Wallet (Tap to Pay) not working during the Beta program. This is a known limitation, as many mobile payment and banking apps require official, signed firmware to meet security compliance standards.

Since Beta software is considered pre-release firmware, some appsā€”including Google Wallet, Samsung Pay, and certain banking appsā€”may detect it as an unofficial or modified system and disable payment functions. While this behavior is common in Beta versions, functionality should return once the stable One UI 7 update is officially released.

For now, alternative options include:

 - Using a Galaxy Watch for tap-to-pay (if supported in your region).

 - Carrying a physical payment card as a backup.

We appreciate your patience and participation in the Beta program. If you experience additional unexpected behavior beyond this known issue, please report it via Samsung Members > Beta Feedback > Error Reports.

Thanks for your understanding!

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
