Watch 4 beta - display won't turn on in sunlight

When outside in bright sunlight, the beta will not turn on... Tapping, turning the bezel, raise to wake, home button, nothing. As soon as I'm in the shade or inside, works fine. Really annoying I can't use my watch outside.
