DiscussionsHello,
Thank you for sharing the issue you're encountering with WhatsApp calls. It sounds like a software or app-related issue affecting the microphone when switching away from the call screen. Since you’ve already tried basic troubleshooting, here are a few additional steps you can try:
1. Check App Permissions
Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions, and make sure that the app has the necessary permissions, including microphone access.
2. Clear Cache and Data for WhatsApp
Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Storage, and tap Clear Cache and Clear Data. Afterward, try the call again. (Note: Clearing data will log you out of the app, so make sure to back up any important messages.)
3. Test in Safe Mode
Restart your device in Safe Mode (hold the power button, then long-press "Power Off" and select Safe Mode). This will disable third-party apps and can help determine if another app is interfering with WhatsApp.
4. Check for System Updates
Ensure your device is running the latest beta updates by going to Settings > Software Update. There may be bug fixes or improvements that address the issue.
5. Reinstall WhatsApp
Uninstall WhatsApp and then reinstall it from the Google Play Store. This can help resolve any app-specific bugs or conflicts.
6. Report the Issue
If the issue persists, we recommend submitting feedback through the Samsung Members app with detailed information and steps to reproduce the problem. This will help the development team investigate and address the issue.
Best regards,
One UI Beta Team
