Major network connection issues after the One UI 5.1 update! Extensive settings troubleshooting — tried everything — the phone won't hold a 5G connection, keeps reverting to 4G. 😫🤬
Worst update in memory! - after an hour+ online, Google and forums, I'm clearly not alone.

Yes, agreed, but you pay T-Mobile for your network connection, not Samsung, and your carrier is responsible for testing the update before releasing it to you and insuring that you have a good network connection, so you should talk to them, not Samsung.
Samsung releases updates to carriers who then push it out to their customers after testing it on their networks. If an issue is discovered, the carrier may delay providing it to users and work with Samsung to resolve the issue. Sometimes network issues are discovered after an update and it is up to the carrier to resolve the issue by working with Samsung for a fix.
Please advise your carrier of this after update network issue.

Yes. T-Mobile. It's not the carrier. The issues began literally the same hour after the 5.1 upgrade. This, combined with the countless similar reported UI update issues throughout the internet - no question in my mind it's UI-related.
