Samsung Picture Frame Widget missing settings cog on Note 20 Ultra 5g

Since I got my Note 20 Ultra 5g the Samsung Picture Frame Widget lacks the settings cog, effectively rendering the widget unusable since all of the widget's functionality is access through the settings cog.

Judging by the reviews on the galaxy store from people with the same phone switching their review scores to 1 and .5 star, the widget is broken for everyone with the Note 20 ultra.

I and many others would really appreciate if this widget is fixed ASAP, since no other picture frame widget is nearly as good as Samsung's.

I would recommend reaching out to the developers of the Samsung Picture Frame widget at secgallery@samsung.com.

The settings cog that allows you to select fit options, transition time, select photos etc, does not exist on the Note 20 Ultra 5g version of the widget.

Oof.

I'm using Nova Launcher Prime, I just switched to One UI and the settings do come up on long press on top of the widget.

Seems like Samsung made the widget settings and gestures only accessible through their One UI and locked out all 3rd party launchers for Android 10+. You used to be able to access all widget features on with 3rd party launchers on pre-Android 10 phones.

Mystery solved.
