Background apps getting killed

Anyone figure out how to keep apps running after screen has been off for a while? I can't find the Optimize Battery option like we had on Android 11. 

Apps like FB Messenger doesn't get new messages or ring for calls until I open the app

The battery optimization is now in the app info under battery

Hello @userapxxKWkdds 

Please navigate to Settings - Battery and device care - battery - background usage limits  and add app you would like to Never sleeping apps. 

You may also long click icon of the app you would like to optimize and click on battery selection to select Unrestricted battery usage.

Did that and it doesn't help. Not getting any messages in until I open Messenger

Also I'm using PDANet for Hotspot and data stops working on Hotspot if the phone screen goes off

Not having these issues here. Sounds like your device has aggressive battery optimization on.

Did you by chance download the beta OTA or did you sideload it. Just curious.

I signed up for the beta. Got the OTA. Then I did a factory reset after because I don't keep anything important on this phone. I already added apps to the never sleep list. Set battery usage to unrestricted. Didn't help

Bummer. Maybe wait and see if the next build is more stable for you?
