Can I revert to the official version by waiting for the release?

I installed OneUI 6 beta but want to revert to the official release. I'm not sure if I have a backup before the beta install and even if I do, I don't want to lose the data I have saved since then.

I've opted out of the beta program already: can I just wait for the official release to come out and then update? Do I have to reset my phone to revert to the official release?

Yes, you have to reset your data. To revert, you have to install Smart Switch on your PC and connect your phone.

Backup your data prior to the reset if you are concerned about losing anything.

Wait you mean I can restore the data backed up in the beta system on OneUI 5?

What I did was download nova launcher and set it up to look and function as close to one ui as I could. Not ideal, but better than going through the headache of a reset.

I don't like this beta program either lol. I'm in the same boat but it sounds like too much work to revert

gg i guess.. I wouldn't care about my data that much since most days are stored in cloud anyway, but I use WeChat and migrating chat history is a pain

Hello,

You can deregister from the beta program from Samsung member’s app -> settings -> one Ui Beta program status -> Withdraw. Once withdrawn you can download smart switch on the PC and restore to Android 13.
Please back up all data on your device before using smart switch to move back to Android 14 as this does reset the phone. if you do choose to move to Android 13 , we suggest you backup all your device data and master reset on Android 14 and try if for a few days. If issues are still not resolved, you always have the choice to withdraw and move back to Android 13
