Can’t Enable the Linux Development Environment on My S24 FE Running Android 16

My S24 FE just updated to Android 16 with One UI 8. I wanted to try out the Linux Development Environment — it’s the feature I’ve been most excited about using in the new Android version. I looked it up in the settings, and the option to enable the Linux Development Environment does show up, but it’s grayed out and I can’t turn it on. Why is this happening?

To assist us in resolving this issue, we kindly ask you to submit an error report through the Samsung Members app on your device immediately after the issue is reproduced:

1. Open Samsung Members.> Navigate to One UI Beta Program > Beta Feedback.
2. Attach any relevant screenshots or screen recording/video (if possible).
3. Ensure "Send system log data" is checked, then submit the report.
