Anyone else run into the Mobile Hotspot not being a part of the plan? Had this issue/error on carrier firmware years ago, but since we switched to unlocked a few years ago no issues at all with it. Debating on going back to 13 to see if it works there or if it's perma-broken. I think vz tier 2 support might be able to fix it if I remember correctly?
Confirmed this is a problem with Android 14, rolled back to Android 13 on another device and all is well. Just figured I'd post this in case someone went through the same as us. Reported findings as feedback to hopefully get resolved in a new beta (beta 2 didnt resolve). Otherwise I'll be rolling back to 13 here as well rather than taking 14 stable and getting stuck without it. This has never happened in a beta or stable in the past, 14 might have some new auth checks causing issues or struggling themselves. Maybe carrier forced or something in even the unlocked software now, who knows.
Not sure this means anything, but on 13 activating hotspot from the top just turned it on immediately - when I went into mhs settings and activated it, it gave a warning indicating it thought the sim card had changed (something like it doesn't support more than 1 sim card or something, didn't catch exact text), but still turned on. Something in android 14 is affecting how the sim card is read it seems. Easily could've been a normal message due to the addition of esim tho.
