Participating in the One UI 5.0 Beta will trigger Google's security and prevent you from using any apps like wallet bc the firmware you're on is an "unofficial" firmware.

Yes, this has been my experience as well. It thinks the phone has unofficial software running on it and refuses to let you use Google Pay. Samsung Pay works just fine though.

Correct. Google Pay does work with beta operating systems. I can't even get Samsung Pay to work either.
