Lock screen clock font color

I was changing the color of my lock screen clock and noticed an icon on the left that has a water drop on it. Does anyone know what it does?

Adaptive Color or Auto Color

Automatic Adjustment: When selected, the phone analyzes the specific part of your wallpaper behind the clock. It automatically chooses a text color contrasts best with that background.

If your wallpaper is dark, it makes the text light/white. If the wallpaper is light, it makes the text dark/black.

If you have a rotating wallpaper service (Dynamic Lock Screen) or a video wallpaper, the clock color will shift in real-time to remain visible.

Mine has never let me select a color. It has the first one checked but they're all grayed out. I have never been able to figure it out lol😂
