Screen not waking with Google Messages fix?

Does anyone know how to get my screen to wake from receiving a Google messages notification? I've looked at all the settings in system and within the app, and still cannot get it to wake when I receive a message and still cannot get it to wake when I receive a message with detailed notification settings.

1. Open Samsung Members → One UI Beta Program → Beta Feedback.
2. Select Error reports and attach any relevant screenshots or screen recordings (if available).
3. Make sure “Send system log data” is enabled before submitting.

Important: For accurate log collection, please submit the report within 3 minutes of reproducing the issue and do not kill the task of the Samsung Members app until you receive notification that the error has been sent (about 5 minutes)
