What happens after the official release of One UI 7

Sorry if this question is redundant, I couldn't find another one related.

What happens once the official update comes out? Do you just update your phone and are automatically taken out of the beta program or do you need to wipe your devide and then update after setting it back up?

This is my first time doing beta and staying enrolled so I don't know how that works.

They will release a stable version to carrier locked phones first than unlocked 2nd and the beta will be over and done til next yr

You just update your phone like any other update and you'll be taken out of the beta automatically. It won't wipe your phone but you probably should still back up just in case anything happens.

Thank you for your participation. 

As many good users suggested, once the One UI 7 Beta ends, you will stay in the One UI 7 Beta final version (and this is exclusive to Beta users only!)

Once our schedule aligns with the official One UI 7 version, then it will be rolled out to public users. 

Unless you decide to withdraw from Beta (in which your device will stay in that software), your device will remain as it is. 

We can't give you the exact date when the official version will be released to public, but your device will "catch" the update once available.
