Why can't I use a 4 digit code on MY phone, without having to hit ok?? I don't understand what this has to do with Samsung. If a user decides to have a 4 digit code without hitting ok, it should be their decision, not Samsungs?

Instead of ranting about Samsung you might check your settings. Go into security and privacy and change the lock screen settings to open without clicking okay.

OP is asking for a 4 digit pin without pressing ok. Currently you can only skip ok if your pin is 6 digits or longer.

Seriously? 2 digits extra are the issue? It's the end of the world as we know it.
