Beta 1 felt much smoother in my usage when it came to animations and gestures. In beta 2 they're much slower and choppier especially when swiping up from an app to get to home screen. Gotta get back to beta 1 fluidity.
I always do get in to developer's Menu on settings with every new phone I get and change the animations from 1.0 to 0.5. I really don't care much about them so my phones are always snappy. Perhaps you wanna give it a shot..
