Battery percentage in battery icon

Currently the battery icon and battery percentage are 2 separate items

 I think it would be much more modern to combine the two into a single icon

An option not to do this would be great too. The way you're asking is how it is on iOS and I feel it's easier to see with them separate as they are now.

Agreed, having those 2 separate in my opinion looks awfull , too much going on up there and doesnt look modern , and it should also display a color based on the %. The whole battery icon should be re-designed so it actually looks modern and sleek.
