I personally don't care about animations, but there are some people who seem passionate about this. Maybe Samsung should give options on the animations. You can already choose your icons, theme, font, etc. In Theme Park, you can literally pick any colors you want for your color palette. Custom animations feel on brand.
Personally I think One UI animations are not dynamic enough and lack bounce. MiUI and iOS animations all have a certain degree of "recoil" or bounce that makes their entire UI seem more dynamic, while Samsung's animations are more simple.
I get it. I think Samsung keeps it that way because some people have sensitivity to animations. I have chronic migraines and I put my animation scales at 0.5. My eyes and head were pounding. I had to put it back to normal. I should just take more breaks from the screen, but I don't want to. Lol. And I think companies try to find ways to keep us from doing so. So, I think options are key.
lol. I never used animations at all because of sensitivity too. It's one of the first I turn off on any of my devices with the option. Having option for those that want it is good.
I personally could care less about animations, but the idea of options and scalable animation choices is a good one! I actually turn off animations and reduce to .5 in developer options. I prefer snappy to bouncy. 😆 Again, options are good!
