I noticed that in beta2, when you suddenly use the swipe-up gesture to go to the homescreen, the phone takes a moment and then makes a flawless animation. Despite the "slight" delay, it is a viable solution to always achieve a smooth animation. Could you implement the same thing when going from AOD to lockscreen (and viceversa), in order to fix the clock transition (that is often choppy)? Eventually you could apply the same logic to ALL animations. Before performing an animation/transition, assert/ensure that the CPU is ready and the screen has already reached 120Hz.

Noticed this as well. Although the delay stinks, it's definitely on the right track to eliminate the horribly janky animations present in One UI 4. Good strategy Samsung.

I remember on the S8 & S9, because of the infinity display the transitions from the aod to lockscreen to home screen was flawless. Amazing how we can go from being perfect(having amazing features) to egh(plain and basic)
