Every single phone I've had, the first thing I do is turn the font size and screen zoom all the way down so that I can fit more on my screen. As the phones keep getting bigger, the scale still only gets so small, which is still larger in relation to other past smaller phones. Please add more smaller options, especially for the screen zoom to scale down more to fit more on the screen.
Try editing the "DPI" in developer options. Higher the number the smaller things are but if you set it too high it'll turn into a "Tablet UI" with how things are split on the screen like the settings on Halves of the screen instead of the norm
While this isn't the solution I'm asking for, since adding lower screen zoom in settings would work better and be optimized for mobile, thank you for pointing out the DPI setting. I hadn't been aware of that.
