Keep media controls after clearing notifications?

Just hopped onto the One UI 4 beta, and one of the first things I had noticed is that the media controls are cleared when I hit the Clear Notifications button. It didn't do this on One UI 3.1, and I'd like to have media controls available after clearing notifications. Device is a US unlocked Note10+ (not the 5G)

Simple fix.
Pull down notifications panel all the way.
Tap three dot menu in top right corner.
Tap quick panel layout
Tap "Device control and Media output buttons"
Set to "Show always"
Tap done

I should rephrase. What is happening is media controls are cleared only when media is paused. I have a screenshot of my settings, which also appear to be the defaults I'm pretty sure. Thanks for the help though
